Reflection on race & violence

I might never know what it is to be in the skin of a poor. As less as others could imagine what it is to have a white skin. Why are these racial differences so significant in the day-to-day life? Why do I now feel an outsider in the Ghanaian/African society. Is there so much violence and injustices in the world to reciprocate the frustrations on us?

Injustice responds to injustice

The reality must be that I have not been used to this kind of treatment before whereas blacks and others have long endured discrimination and hardship from my cousins and brothers (understand white).

Does the only bearable 'expat way' consist in being pretty isolated from the locals and other African nationals and treated with huge salary and benefits, go to the office on weekdays and to a beach resort in the weekend, always in your car and dealing with the population on an almost condescending basis?

What good event could happen to make me see again the positive side of the coin? Money is definitely too much everywhere.
