Ghana: Crusade of a Child prodigy against global warming

On Monday 27th August, a 10-year-old British boy of Ghanaian parentage makes the front page of the Ghanaian Daily Graphic.

In the spotlight: his motivation and commitment to eliminate carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

“I am sure that not many people will listen to me, because not many people are aware of the threat,” he said, explaining that emission of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide from cars and factories was responsible for increasing global temperatures and rising sea levels."

"According to Mrs Akua Sam-Keh, mother of Joshua, his son, who was on holiday in the country, had been worried about the energy crisis in the country as a result of the low water level of the Akosombo Dam."

"She said he had even expressed the willingness to meet President Kufuor to help create awareness on the threat posed by global warming."

Thank you Joshua for showing the good example and good luck in your endeavour.
