Didn't know it is that bad: I now have a generator

GHANA: hydro-power crisis getting worse

Ghana is undergoing its worst power crisis since 1998. People here currently have an average of only 12 hours of electricity a day, and with insufficient rain to keep its hydro-power stations functioning, the situation is likely to deteriorate, affecting individual livelihoods and the economy as a whole.

D'après mes informations, un nouveau barrage d'une puissance de 400MW (soit environ la moitié de la puissance max du barrage d'Akosombo) sera construit dans les années à venir sur la rivière Black Volta.
